All the work fairly straightforward.
1.Assemble KELLAX as per instructions. I decided z after comparing - to replace top part of the IKEA unit with countertop rather than placing countertop on the top on the unit.
2. Attach new legs making sure all spacing is even.
3.Cut the countertop adding 5cm extra per side and 2cm extra to the front and back to IKEA measurements.ifnyou don't have the table saw or track saw any friendly and local carpenter will cut it for you for free, pint of Guinness or bottle of decent wino.
4. Place the IKEA top to the bottom of the countertop (remember to place it right in the middle with 5 and 2cm overhang) and drill through the both of them but not all the way through 🤣 (7,5mm drill bit on the side holes and 6mm for the middle ones).
5. Apply edging with iron, cut the excess with utility knife and sand the edges with 800-1000grit sanding pad.
6. Redrill holes to the sides of the unit with 7,5mm drill bit. Middle ones are perfect already.
7. Using wood glue and dowels attach the countertop.
Enjoy new piece of furniture.
Ps. Other offcuts will do as a window sill in the front porch I'm building.
